Are you nearing your 50th birthday? Are you getting fed up with being a doormat? Are you asking, ‘when is it going to be my turn?’ If you answer yes to any of these questions, you need to re-evaluate who you are and how you got there.
You need to feel that you are worth standing up for, instead of just taking it. As a child of God, you have as much right to your opinion as any one else. But you must think that you are worth it before anyone else will. Have you released your childhood trauma of being raised in a male dominated society? Have you come to terms with the fact that you were not as good as your brother? Have you given up on trying to get your father’s approval? If any of these items are still present, then don’t abandon the marriage just yet. You have to change these or you will just be getting back into the same rut with your next marriage, if you do remarry. And most people do get remarried with disastrous results. If you take this conflict inside yourself, you can see it played out by how you treat your two different sides. The right side is the following: male, manifesting, insuring that you receive something for your work, rigid, judgmental and black and white (success or failure). The left side is the following: female, intuitive, lots of ideas, can’t decide which, lots of follow through once started, relaxed and lots of continuity. Most sprains and broken bones are on the right side. Most starving artists are all on their left or creative side and never receive anything for their work. No insuring receipt for work there, whether it is a female or male artist. The manifesting side will either have a successful project or a failure. There is no in-between. The manifesting side does not recognize any gray area. The creative side has lots of ideas, but does not follow-up on them. The manifesting side is great at starting projects, but runs out of energy to complete them. So, each of these reflects why both sides need to be balanced. Too many of us are running around with our left foot nailed to the floor and wonder why we keep going in circles. Also, by utilizing both sides for all work, we automatically have twice as much energy to do projects. |
